Meha: Welcome to The Nine Oh Six. I'm Meha Chiraya.

Archita: And I'm Archita Fritz.

[0:16]

Meha: and we're your co-hosts on The Nine Oh Six - a global podcast, where every season, we interview and take a peek into the lives of nine women from within our own communities to really understand how they have defined success on their own terms. So what's with their name, The Nine Oh Six?

[0:34]

Archita: Meha, let me take this one. The Nine Oh Six (906) is the area code of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. And about 16 years ago, as I got off a plane from Bangalore, India, that's where I met Meha - a yooper - somebody from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and that's where our friendship took root. Meha, 16 years. That's a long time.

Meha: Archita, I gotta say, though, you always been a role model for me, you know, part of my key support system. I mean, just a couple years ago, I was trying to do a lot of things my life was doing my MBA, I was working, I just found out I was pregnant. You were one of those people, I turned to, Archita. You made sure that I didn't feel discouraged. And hearing your stories, talking to you, made me feel limitless.

[1:24]

Archita: Thank you, Meha. You said two words that really hit home: support system and limitless. That's so important because one too many times, women find themselves thinking, Can I do it? And just as I've been there for you, you've been there for me and about a year ago when you were visiting us here in Dusseldorf. Our husbands were barbecuing, our kids were playing. We were exchanging stories of women in our lives who have really lived out the two phrases: support system and limitless. And as we exchange those stories, the whole idea of the podcast took shape.

[1:59]

Meha: Yeah. Because we felt, how can we take these stories of extraordinary women and make others feel ignited and inspired too? We want to use this platform to show that success comes in many different flavors. We need to celebrate this!

[2:14]

Archita: and Meha I am so excited to dig deep and deconstruct how these nine women are defining success on their own terms.
